HEADLINER BIOS:

JIMPSTER
The UK House craftsman shaping soundscapes with soul and subtlety. If you’ve ever lost yourself in the smooth, rolling rhythms of deep house, you’ve probably had Jimpster to thank without even knowing it. Behind the decks, in the studio, or even just in the groove of his own life, Jimpster—aka Jamie Odell—is one of the quiet yet crucial architects of the genre, a producer who’s somehow managed to keep his sound fresh while paying homage to house music’s roots. With releases stretching back to the early 90's, Jimpster’s sonic journey has evolved from the cut n paste, sample-heavy bedroom productions of his early releases to the deep house anthems he’s known for today. He’s the artist who’s mastered the art of organic warmth, blending digital precision with analog textures in ways that sound both timeless and ahead of their time. His music often draws from a deep well of influences: jazz, funk, soul, electro and even ambient textures—but it’s always tethered to the dance-floor. He’s the kind of producer who can make a sub-bass rumble feel like a heartbeat while surrounding it with lush, atmospheric synths and intricate percussion that push his tracks into a hypnotic, almost meditative space.
Jimpster's discography is packed with both original tracks and remixes that make you move without even realising it: there’s the spaced-out, trippy disco allure of English Rose, the groove-heavy slo-mo swagger of The Sun Comes Up (which is basically the soundtrack to *that* sunset), and let’s not forget the timeless Dangly Panther. Each track feels like a wave—a smooth ride that pulls you along effortlessly but leaves you wanting more. His remix of Osunlade’s Momma’s Groove has become iconic but he has also offered his golden touch to artists as diverse as Seal, Bob Marley, Kerri Chandler, Josh Wink and Adam Port to name just a few.
Jimpster’s influence doesn’t just stay in the studio. As a DJ, his sets are like a carefully curated journey blending stripped back dubby disco, bumpy, underground house and the more soulful end of techno into smooth, liquid transitions that captivate without ever feeling rushed. Whether he’s playing an intimate sweatbox or a larger festival stage, his mixes retain a sense of control—an ability to weave a narrative out of tempo, tone and texture, always keeping the dancefloor locked in From Fabric (London) to Brooklyn Mirage (NYC), Womb (Tokyo) to And Club (Johannesburg), Jimpster has pretty much span there and got the T-shirt.
As co-founder/A&R of Freerange, Delusions Of Grandeur and most recently Cyphon Recordings, he’s helped nurture an entire generation of producers, sharing his deep understanding of groove and sound design with those who came after him. Despite his thirty five years in the business and pivotal role in shaping the electronic music landscape, Jimpster remains relentlessly focused on who, or what, will come next, as excited as ever by discovering the freshest new talent and sounds to expose to the world. Jimpster’s music is a reflection of his unrelenting pursuit of musical depth in club music A balance between nostalgic warmth and forward-focussed vision that continues to captivate listeners and dancers alike. For him, it’s not about creating music for the moment, but building sounds that resonate over time, long after the track has finished playing.

SHAEL
Argentinian-born and Canadian-raised Shael is a Winnipeg-based DJ and event promoter with a dedicated passion for house music. A veteran in the underground scene for over two decades, she’s brought her distinct style of house music across Canada to clubs, festivals, and community projects, with appearances at Bass Coast Festival and Re:Union Festival in BC, and club events in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. She’s also been featured on record label podcasts and radio shows gloabally, most recently with vinyl-only mixes for Aterral in Berlin and Selections Label in Toronto.
Her DJ sets capture the essence of her Latin roots and love for the underground, with fluid, mood-driven selections drawing influence from 90’s and early 00’s house. She seamlessly moves through deep, emotional house, disco-leaning grooves, and bompin’ cuts, with touches of breakbeats and garage, built from years of digging and living the dance floor. Always tuned to the room or setting, her selections are shaped by experience, care, and community.
Shael currently co-promotes with Proper YWG curating intimate underground music events, and holds a 15-year residency with Winnipeg’s MEME Festival. Both these collaborative projects are aimed at showcasing proper underground music and inspiring today’s generation of DJs and electronic music fans, using shared history in the scene while continuing to hone the roots of the music origins.

BOOGIETRAXX
As a rhythmic renovator of retro funk, Boogietraxx offers a lens into the discoverse that brought dance music to the masses but offers a uniquely soulful and modern twist.
Born in Staten Island, NY and now living in Austin, TX for the last few years, Boogietraxx brings an array of influences in his soundscapes that feature filter house, French touch, and filter funk. Brought up on a nutritious diet of Prince, Kashif, George Benson, Daft Punk, DJ Falcon, Romanthony, and countless others, Boogietraxx’s sound is rooted in the future with accentuated basslines and laser-guided melodies.
