Utilizing a restorative approach each class will focus on the conscious integration body, mind and spirit for healing and transformation. This will be achieved by exploring the structure and energy pattern of each asana by using breathwork, meditation and other embodiment practices. Within this sacred geometry we awaken to a deeper version of ourselves and cultivate our essence so that our experience on the mat is sustained off the mat. This approach to yoga has supported me in navigating grief and loss, osteoarthritis, and depression by enhancing my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. It is my hope that you too will experience a powerful healing and transformative journey. All levels of ability are welcome. You are encouraged to bring your own mat and props to make poses more accessible, comfortable and effective i.e. blocks, straps, blankets etc. Through our practice we simultaneously expand and ground. And by doing so return home to who we truly are – our most authentic version of ourselves. I look forward to sharing the journey with you.Laurie Nordlund is a graduate of the SATTVA School of Yoga teacher training program taught by Rameen Peyrow. Currently she is deepening her practice and pursing additional certification with the BodyAwake School of Yoga taught by Dr. Sue Morter. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance.
