Soul Food Sundays — Gospel Brunch
About this Event
Soul Food Sundays — Gospel Brunch
Every Sunday in June, NMAAM's lobby transforms into a community gathering point where the music plays, the energy rises, and Nashville comes together. Soul Food Sundays is a tradition rooted in joy, culture, and the sounds that have always brought people to the table— from the deep roots of gospel to the many genres it has helped shape and inspire. Bring your family, your neighbors, and your appetite!
This event takes place from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with a special live performance by local churches beginning at 2:00 PM. Guests are invited to arrive early to enjoy food, fellowship, and connection before the performance begins.
This series spans the evolving sounds of gospel music from week to week, highlighting its rich history, influence, and continued evolution across generations and styles. This week’s featured church is SANGTUARY, offering a powerful glimpse into older, traditional gospel sounds that honor the foundation of the genre.
Gallery admission is half-priced throughout the day, giving guests a chance to explore the museum at a special rate while enjoying the full Soul Food Sundays experience.
Food will be available for purchase featuring offerings from a local Black-owned restaurant, inviting guests to gather, share a meal, and stay rooted in community throughout the afternoon.
