About this Event

We look forward to welcoming you to the National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH). Your health and safety are our top priorities. NJMH is following guidelines for increased health and safety procedures issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), New York State and New York City. Please review the information below before your visit.

About Disney’s "The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure" Exhibit:

Join us for our new exhibition “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure,” opening on Feb. 10, coinciding with Black History Month.

First introduced at The American Adventure inside EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort, the National Jazz Museum is thrilled to partner with Disney to bring this experience to Harlem – a neighborhood in NYC well-known for its vibrant jazz scene, which fueled the careers of many jazz icons.

“Like the film that inspired this exhibit, ‘The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure’ is a tribute to the human experience,” said Carmen Smith, Senior Vice President, Creative Development - Product/Content & Inclusive Strategies. “It was here in Harlem that Jazz not only became an international sensation, but a vehicle for social change. The genre’s enduring influence is a palpable example of the barriers that can be broken when ambition and artistry meet passion and purpose. We’re proud to partner with the National Jazz Museum to preserve and celebrate that special kind of magic.”

COVID-19 Information

Beginning January 29, 2022, the Museum requires proof of vaccination for all visitors 5 years of age and older. Please review our visitor guidelines and regulations below to help orient you before you arrive and to ensure you get the most out of your NJMH experience.

The health and safety of all is our priority. NJMH is working to reduce risk by encouraging everyone in the Museum to wear a face covering and maintain physical distancing. We have also implemented staff health checks; established a regular cleaning schedule; incorporated enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces throughout the day; and installed hand-sanitizer stations in the Museum. NJMH will continue to monitor and abide by Federal, State and City guidelines to inform our operations.

We require all visitors to follow the safety guidelines outlined below. NJMH reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who refuses to adhere to these guidelines, and to ask visitors who do not follow these guidelines to leave the Museum’s premises.

Make sure to plan for your visit.

To ensure we provide a safe environment for all, the Museum has the following additional protocols in place:
