About this Event

Soul Assembly marks the 14th release in Albina Music Trust’s vinyl catalog. This unique collaboration with Tony Ozier and Liquid Beat Records is a compilation featuring Portland-based producers remixing the soul, jazz, and gospel recordings of elder musicians in Albina, the historic epicenter of Black Portland.

Our release party hosted at Bodecker Foundation and sponsored by KMHD will feature an intergenerational panel discussion between Albina’s elder musicians, as well as the producers who now pay tribute on the compilation. Come early for snacks and refreshments + an exclusive DJ Set by Jumbo!
