Join Melbourne jazz vocalists Amelia Evans and Olivia Chamoun, and their exceptional band featuring Russel Tay (piano) Anton Schulz (bass) and Alex Spicer (drums), as they present ‘Sophisticated Lady: A Tribute to Jazz’s First Ladies of Song’ – a swingin’ show celebrating and honoring the greatest, female jazz vocalists in history.Jazz vocalist Amelia Evans is one of Melbourne’s rising stars. She’s performed with the likes of Terri-Lyne Carrington, James Morrison and Linda Oh, collaborated with pianist Bob Sedergreen on her debut album The First Song, and won a score of awards including the 2017 Generations In Jazz Vocal Scholarship.
With her heart in the music and her soul in her sound, local Melbourne jazz vocalist Olivia Chamoun inspires and captivates audiences. A graduate of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Olivia has been performing in the Melbourne jazz scene for the last 5 years with her own Quintet as well as local and international artists, including Jack Earle, Rob Burke, Tim Ries (US), Terri Lynne Carrington (US), Ambrose Akinmusire (US), Linda Oh (US), and Dave Douglas (US).
