Like any method of observation, there are many types of soothsayers and many styles of divination. What can be challenging is finding a means of studying spiritual or esoteric practices that don’t feel trite, fatalistic, or misleading.

How do we guide ourselves if Existence cosigns all behaviors, ideas, peoples, and things? How do we determine our truth if all truths are true from the perspective of those who believe in them? In other words, “What is Existence’s problem?!”

Existentially speaking there are infinite paths to “The Truth,” but the path human beings seem to trust the least is the physical one. Learning through osmosis is not easy within a species that has an ontological framework of nihilism as its driving engine, but each person has the existential right to determine the meaning of life from their own experiences.

Join us for a paradoxically funny and joyfully illuminating talk about “the root of all questions,”, “The Truth” and how we can use our perspective, our experiences, and various forms of divination to successfully support our journeys through “The Earth Hotel!”

For the last 30 minutes of the workshop, attendees are welcome to ask questions and explore my Deck Library to answer their questions for themselves! I’ll provide simple instructions as to how you can directly and easefully use divination to gain clarity if you’ve never used a deck before.

Sanyu Estelle is a Claircognizant ("clear knowing") Soothsayer ("truth teller") that is also known as "The Word Witch" because of her deep love for word origins (etymology) and word culture (philology). These natural inclinations are bolstered by a 15+ year practice of Daoism, as well as a 10+ year relationship with Ifa, the indigenous tradition of the Yoruba people of now-Nigeria.

Sanyu is known for her straightforward card reading style ("the reading you need, not necessarily the reading you want"), "Deluge" Channeling (she delivers a lot of information in one sitting so she always recommends a recording), and allowing the deck (she has over 30 decks) to designate the client.

As a Soothsayer, Sanyu Estelle's gift is truth-telling. With 15 years of card reading experience and 25 years of public speaking experience, her readings are often listened to over many years by her clients. She is a "1st generationish" (long, but great story) US-American of Ugandan and Belizean descent born, bred and buttered in Los Angeles on land traditionally stewarded by the Tongva.

Her spiritual work includes Dreamscapes Academy, Quantum Energetics, card readings, life regressions, soothsaying, I Ching hexagrams and root work (words, not Hoodoo). Her creative work includes singing, songwriting, performance art, public speaking, event programming, and writing across all genres.

REFUND POLICIES

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges for PRS events, except in the event of a medical emergency, including but not limited to a positive COVID-19 test.

In the event that PRS is forced to cancel an event entirely, tickets will be refunded or vouchers offered for a rescheduled event.

PARKING

Limited parking is available onsite at PRS in both the front lot (entry from Los Feliz Blvd. when heading east) and back lot (entry from first alley way, off Griffith Park Blvd. from intersection with Los Feliz Blvd.), as well as street parking on Griffith Park Blvd. and (after 7 PM) on Los Feliz Blvd.  We encourage attendees to consider carpooling, walking or biking to events if possible, and please be considerate of our Los Feliz neighbors when parking, many thanks.

PRS EVENT POLICIES

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• Events are subject to change without notice, including guest speakers and/or performers.
• We encourage you to arrive at least 30 min. before the scheduled event start time to find parking, enjoy the Bookstore and take your seats.
• Please turn off all mobile devices before the show. Talking and texting are not allowed during the events.
• No filming, audio recording or mobile phone recording of events, screenings, concerts or other programs by audience members is allowed without permission.
• There is no smoking permitted on PRS grounds.
• We strongly encourage guests to wear masks to PRS events to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
• PRS allows Service Animals into the facility under ADA and state guidelines. For further details please visit www.ADA.gov. No animals permitted whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support, under ADA guidelines and CA Health Code.
• Please do not bring outside food or drink into PRS events.
• Weapons are strictly prohibited at PRS events.
