SONIDO GALLO NEGRO

Sonido Gallo Negro is a band from Mexico City going back to the roots of psychedelic tropical music with guitars, eccentric organs, analog synthesizers, theremin... they mix exotic rarity and esoterism which will alter your perception and force you to dance until you get exhausted. Add to it visual hypnotics and live performance by Dr. Alderete.

Since 2010, they have had multiple tours around Europe and America, visited 20 countries and more than 50 cities. Five studio albums later, they became one of the most recognized bands of Mexico City.

Rudy De Anda

Rudy De Anda is a Mexican-American songwriter born in the 1980s and raised between Los Angeles and Long Beach, California, long before relocating to Chicago. Rooted in psych-rock yet shaped by soul, lowrider oldies, and the laid-back glow of the West Coast, his music carries a breezy, cinematic quality that bridges cultures without leaning on nostalgia. After fronting the psych-prog outfit Wild Pack of Canaries in the early 2010s, De Anda began carving out his solo path with 2015’s lo-fi Ostranenie, followed by the darker, punk-tinged Delay, Cadaver of a Day (2016). Early collaboration and mentorship from the late Ikey Owens (The Mars Volta, Jack White) instilled a deep respect for analog craft and melodic precision that continues to define his sound.

Released through Colemine Records, Tender Epoch (2020) and Closet Botanist (2023) marked a widening of both sonic scope and emotional depth. Recorded in Austin and produced by Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas), Closet Botanist refined his ’60s psych-pop sensibilities while embracing a more personal, introspective tone, pairing analog warmth and psychedelic textures with themes of love, loss, and self-reckoning. With new music arriving in 2026 and touring plans across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, Rudy De Anda continues to evolve his catalog, building a body of work where movement becomes melody and rock ’n’ roll feels both inherited and entirely his own.
