The Sonic Tapestry goes beyond a performance—it’s a nervous system recalibration…where music and sound dissolve the noise as you drift through a portal of hypnotic grooves, mesmerizing melodies, and cinematic soundscapes. At the heart of the event is Matt Venuti and his interplay of groundbreaking electronic and acoustic instruments, honed through decades of performance in high-profile venues and immersive spaces.
Mostly improvised, Matt utilizes an advanced looper to weave an expansive sonic art experience with his Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) breath-controlled synthesizer. Aside from the EVI, Matt has also been a pioneering player of the Hang, which is the inspiration that led to Handpans, as well as the immersive Waves
instruments, the Huaca triple-chambered Ocarina and the newly created Gemini Bells. His curated array of large Himalayan Bowls is also an essential part of Matt’s sonic palette.
