We are extremely honoured to say that Finland’s premiere of JAWBREAKER will be part of Sonic Rites Festival 2026!
Jawbreaker depicts Anti Cimex – the band that shaped Scandinavian hardcore punk and became one of Sweden’s most influential musical exports.
From raw recordings in a chicken coop on the plains of Västergötland to punk scenes around the world, the film follows a band whose uncompromising energy and political charge continue to resonate.
Through archive material, international perspectives, and a dreamy, humorous tone, directors Tomas Haglund and Oskar Sjödin paint a portrait of a musical legacy that still packs a punch.
🎥 Jawbreaker will be screened during the Sonic Rites festival on Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 PM at Kino Konepaja. The screening will also feature members of the film’s creators discussing the movie.
🎫 Tickets for the screening are sold via the Kino Konepaja website. The film ticket is not included in the festival ticket.
