A new chapter begins.Sonic Fiction proudly invites you to the official launch of our label Sonic Fiction Recordings. A night dedicated to pushing the deeper, forward-thinking boundaries of Drum & Bass and electronic music. This is more than just an event, it’s the foundation of a new platform for sound, energy and community in Sydney’s underground music scene.
To mark the occasion, we’re flying in as a very special guest... Ill Truth direct from Bristol, UK. Represented on this tour by Revan, one half of the powerhouse duo, the set will deliver the unmistakable Ill Truth flavour. Since emerging in 2016, Ill Truth have carved out a reputation for razor‑sharp production and high‑energy DJ sets, releasing on top-tier labels such as Sofa Sound, Overview Music, and Symmetry Recordings. Their trademark low-end pressure and rolling groove have made them essential figures in today’s Drum & Bass landscape.
In 2023, they launched their own imprint, Truth Hertz. The label is already making serious waves and quickly establishing itself as one of the go to imprints for cutting edge Drum & Bass. Expect Ill Truth to bring that same forward thinking energy and unmistakable Bristol influence to the Sydney dancefloor for this special appearance.
Supporting the headline act, Sonic Fiction Recordings will showcase its full roster of artists, representing the sound and vision of the label from day one. Expect a carefully curated journey through deep rollers, tech-driven selections, and high energy club weapons.
Joining them is a handpicked line up of Sydney’s finest local DJs, each bringing their own flavour to the night and highlighting the strength and diversity of the city’s underground Drum & Bass community.
Set within the intimate and high powered confines of Room 22 in Potts Point, this launch promises a fully immersive dancefloor experience across 2 rooms, built for those who live and breathe the music.
