What chord progressions communicate what sorts of feelings? What can we do to find more interesting chord progressions... that still fit within the realm of popular music? How can we find chords with intention rather than just trying randomly to find something that sounds good? In this 90-minute online/in-person hybrid class, published songwriting coach Joe Mondragon will analyze chord progressions from popular songs, and then apply the same tools to participant songs, suggesting alternatives if desired. Submit songs in advance to be considered for analysis. The last 30 minutes of class are optional social hangout time.Date: Thursday, Oct 3, 2024
