Songwriting with Sam

Ever wanted to write a song but had no idea how to start? One of our fantastic members Sam is the singer/songwriter and guitarist of the band Goodsprings, and he is going to teach us the basics of songwriting.

Whether you’re an avid musician or have never listened to a piece of music in your life, this class is for you. It’s a space for neurodivergent people to come together, learn something new and have fun.

Sam will teach us how to utilise basic chord progressions to think up lyrics and melodies. We will then think about what simple changes can be made to the music to alter the feel of the song. There will be opportunities to share your work should you wish to, but there is no pressure to do so.
