Songwriters in the Round is a series, organized and hosted by Lacy Hampton. It takes place Third Thursdays at Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville, Arkansas. The series has showcased over 70 different songwriters from Northwest Arkansas, surrounding regions, or ties to Arkansas music. It offers a listening room environment for songwriters and new and old original songs to be HEARD. The listening audience also has a great takeaway: inspiration and insight.
November 2024 Round will be the 80th of this series, and will showcase the talents of Samantha Hunt, Tara Norwood, Molly Healey, and Marybeth Byrd.
Samantha Hunt is co-founder of this series, and will wow you with her vocal acrobatics and dynamic range. Excited to get her back on the stage for her second Round (since the very first one in March 2023, another round of 4 powerhouse women!)
Tara Norwood is back on the scene in full honky-tonk, classic country fashion, with an amazing voice and songs. She recently won 2nd place in the Ozark Folk Festival Songwriting contest.
Molly Healey will be coming in from Springfield, MO. A fantastic violinist/fiddle player, cellist, and singer-songwriter. This is a return to Meteor and NWA, and she is also a community builder and event planner in SW Missouri!
Marybeth Byrd is coming from Eastern Arkansas, and is this year’s Arkansas Country Music Awards winner for Female Vocalist of the year.
