We are excited to be hosting the incredible Water Tower! This will be a rare, intimate, and special Water Tower duo set with Kenny Feinstein and John Seltzer. We’ll also have some songs from local songwriter and co-host Mike Rufo.
The magic of this Clawhouse Clubhouse Songweaver Collective show, and all of our events, is the intimacy, vibes, and community. You are as much a part of the event as the performances themselves. ♾♾♾
Water Tower is part punk bluegrass and mostly genre defying. Their performances uplift and catalyze with an authenticity and emotion that forms a web of connection with everyone present. Water Tower has been playing a slew of fabulous festivals throughout the country and have backed up beloved artists like Sierra Ferrell and Nick Hexum (of 311). So, if you’re ready to experience a band that’s rewriting the rules of bluegrass and punk, look no further than Water Tower. 🦉 🦉 🦉
In addition to the music, Kenny will share a few words and some Q&A about his best selling book “More Than Talent”.
We’ll start with an early potluck, we will eat, mingle, bring you some good time music, and still get you home early.
This will be an amazing event of music and community and we can't wait to share it with you!

The Genre-Defying Outlaws of Punk Rock Bluegrass
Water Tower is a Los Angeles-based bluegrass, old-time, and punk rock band founded by multi-instrumentalist & vocalist Kenny Feinstein. Formerly known as The Water Tower Bucket Boys, the name was later changed to Water Tower.
Water Tower has maintained an ongoing reputation as a force to be reckoned with, with a viral social media presence & a growing horde of loyal fans known as "The Owls." Water Tower is fueled by their masterful song-crafting, a fiercely DIY approach, and a genre-bending sonic identity that fuses bluegrass/old-time revivalism with a distinctly punk rock edge. Their influences range from Bill Monroe & Foghorn Stringband to bands like Rancid & Black Flag.

Mike Rufo's mission as a performer is to bring resonance and feelings of renewal to audiences, while co-creating a deep sense of connection and community. His sets have a dynamic arc that move audiences from songs of lyrical resonance to full-on, howl-along, dance party. With four albums of original music, Mike blends folk, bluegrass, Celtic, Americana, roots rock, and some funk, with soulful lyrics and dynamic guitar work to provide an uplifting journey of the heart, mind, and body. Mike’s songs have been featured on dozens of radio programs and he has played with leading artists, including 2016 NPR Tiny Desk Winner Gaelynn Lea, at venues throughout the US and abroad. Mike also performs throughout the SF Bay Area with his band, No Exit.
