About this Event

SONGS WE LOVE

The program we present consists of Ukrainian and American songs from the fifties, sixties and seventies that we love: you’ll hear reimagined and recomposed jazz standards as well as Ukrainian pop and folk songs. Alik and Sasha rearranged well-known compositions, infusing old folk classics with a new and updated beat and harmony. As of the jazz standards, we went back to the original song format, recovered forgotten intros, and brought forth the meaning of the lyrics.
