Songs of Earth and Middle-Earth

The Dankgesang Quartet is excited to present Songs of Earth and Middle-Earth, a folk music-inspired program that travels to Earthly locations across the globe before concluding with tunes from one of our most favorite places, Middle-Earth.

The first half of this program will include Bartok's first string quartet and selections from Florence Price's Five Folksongs in Counterpoint, followed by some of our favorite Danish String Quartet folk tune arrangements and music from Howard Shore's epic Lord of the Rings trilogy film scores.
