A Bluebird-style night where Frank Fiction and guests trade songs up close, with off-the-cuff moments that make each show one-of-a-kind.
About this Event

Songs In The Round returns to Crown & Press on December 17th, an intimate, Bluebird-inspired evening where three artists trade original songs and stories. The audience sits close on all sides, watching the musical conversation unfold in real time and joining in through reactions, laughs, and the occasional gut-punch.

This month features:

Frank Fiction (Elias Dummer): Alt-Americana / Hamilton
The regular host of Songs In The Round, Frank Fiction is the new project from Juno Award–winning songwriter Elias Dummer (frontman of The City Harmonic). Performing unreleased alt-folk songs and a few sideways covers, he draws from two decades of quietly crafted material.

His writing leans into vulnerability and a crooked smile, echoing Jason Isbell, Rufus Wainwright, Andy Shauf, and John Prine. With 100M+ streams and multiple Billboard-charting singles behind him, this project steps into something looser, grounded, and deeply human.

Tom + Thompson Wilson
Tom Wilson has spent three decades at the centre of Hamilton music, fronting Junkhouse, co-founding Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, and reinventing himself as Lee Harvey Osmond. He has five Junos and has written or recorded with Sarah McLachlan, Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams and Mavis Staples. At 55 he learned he was Mohawk, a discovery that became the bestselling memoir Beautiful Scars, then a documentary and a stage musical. A Companion of the Order of Canada, he shares the mic with his son Thompson, formerly of Harlan Pepper, whose songs have been cut by Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Colin James. Together they record as Tehohàhake, including the score for Shane Belcourt’s 2025 documentary.
Hannah Green
Newfoundland’s Hannah Green writes songs that sit somewhere between folk, indie and ambient, and plays them like she means every word. Her 2024 debut LP, Moving Fast In Slow Motion, produced by Nick Coultas-Clarke of Repartee, works through love, loss and the odd in-between of growing up. It earned her MusicNL nominations for Alternative Artist and Rising Star of the Year, followed by a Folk Artist of the Year nod in 2025. After years of touring Canada and a spring 2026 run of UK dates that included Focus Wales, she’s writing what comes next.

What is Songs In The Round?
Born from Frank's decade in Nashville and the Bluebird Café ethos, Songs In The Round is a stripped-back concert where three artists share the stage. They take turns sharing original songs (or songs they wish they'd written!) with room for the night to become a one-of-a-kind musical conversation.

These nights tend to sell out. If you want a seat, don't wait.
