Songs For My Father: Sarah-Kei & Edison Lauw

On the day of Edison Lauw's 60th trip around the sun, Sarah-Kei and Edison bring us on a sentimental journey, from the songs of Sarah's childhood to the songs that bond father and daughter today. Expect jazz from every corner of the earth, from Gershwin classics like 'Fascinating Rhythm' to Japanese fusion band Casiopea's 'Midnight Rendezvous', to well-loved Brazilian tunes like 'One Note Samba'.
The show will feature old friends, pioneers and heavyweights of Singapore's jazz music scene - Joshua Wan (keys/bass), Fabian Lim (sax/flute), Audrey Tang (drums), Mylene Ng (bass), and guest trumpeter Chua Siong Loo. The two generations come together as Sarah-Kei invites her band of friends along for the ride - Koh Yi Da (keys), Lim Zi Wei (keys/trumpet), Ivan Ong (bass), Gabriel Ng (bass), Hong Xian Zheng (drums), Nathaniel Tan (sax) and Jonathan Foo (vox).
This isn't just another jazz show. It's the coming together of mentors and mentees, of family and friends. It's a celebration of where we are now, and where we've come from. Come join in the fun.
