SongBird (Colleen Seymour) is an indie-rock songwriter from Hamden, CT. Her soulful, melodic songs and vocals are both heartfelt and powerful. In 2013 she released a tell-all EP “So Long To Say It” from Deer Lane Recording that was produced by the late and talented Tom MacGregor. The EP is representative of a mosaic of highly personal experiences woven with rhythmic, beguiling vocals and instrumentation into the sonic fabric. She is also the lead singer, rhythm guitar player, and songwriter for the CT River Valley band Butter Jones. Colleen is currently recording songs that will comprise her full length debut. “Only Time” and “Sunshine Sally” are just a couple of songs that she will play from the record on August 10th. You can listen to her solo work (Colleen Seymour) and her work with Butter Jones on Spotify, Apple music, Amazon music, Deezer, and Bandcamp. Follow her on Instagram and Facebook.
The Pretty Graves emerges as a force to be reckoned with in alternative indie rock, drawing inspiration from The Velvet Underground, Pavement, Jonathan Fire Eater, and Mike Krol. Formerly known as The Christopher Listorti Project, the band undergoes a sonic metamorphosis, delving deeper into introspective themes. Infusing their music with the soul of vintage punk and contemporary indie rock, The Pretty Graves create a powerful and unapologetic sound that resonates with their influences while carving out their own space in today's music scene. With raw emotion, soul-baring lyrics, and unfiltered vitality, the band invites listeners into a world of relentless creativity and exploration. Radiating electric urgency on stage, The Pretty Graves promise an uncharted journey filled with provocative depths and unapologetic artistry. Positioned to make a significant impact on the alternative indie rock scene, the band showcases an unwavering commitment to originality, intensity, and emotional depth.
