Song Shop Live Tuesday Evening Masterclasses at DePaul University Chi. CMD

Singers, bring sheet music for two songs to each session.

American songbook, folk song, jazz standard, musical theater, opera aria, art song, pop, and contemporary; any genre is fine, as long as your song tells a story. [no need to welcome singers again]

Each participant gets one-on-one attention to work on a chosen song. Classmates and coaches serve as audience. Claudia Hommel, educator, singer, and Executive Director of Working In Concert, is lead teacher.

Songshop is a safe space to explore your song and get constructive, experienced feedback, coaching, resources, and support. Participants who attend 4+ sessions are invited to perform at the end of the session concert.

Location: DePaul School of Music North Building (southwest corner of Halsted and Fullerton) in the lower level Recital Hall.

Parking: Street parking on Fullerton and Halsted is a mix of metered and free stations.
