Welcome to Song Sessions, your singer-songwriter concert series in The Mockingbird. Led by Nashville musician and Greenville fan favorite Maia Sharp, these intimate sessions of stories and songs feature a rotating lineup of guest songwriters each month. This is the place to be for anyone who deeply connects with music and enjoys tales about the musician's life.
ABOUT MAIA SHARP
Maia Sharp has had her songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt, The Chicks, Cher, Edwin McCain, David Wilcox, Art Garfunkel, Lizz Wright, Lisa Loeb, Terri Clark, Keb’ Mo’ (including his recent single "Junkyard Dog" with Taj Mahal) and Trisha Yearwood (including her recent single “The Wall or the Way Over”) and many more. And through it all, Maia has continued to record her own albums; nine solo releases, one collaborative project with Art Garfunkel and Buddy Mondlock and her duo project, Roscoe & Etta. Maia is also an adjunct professor at NYU and has been writing for Songwriting With: Soldiers for eight years. Her latest album Tomboy was released in September 2025.
ABOUT DANNY MYRICK
Danny Myrick, a Mississippi preacher’s kid, grew up playing, singing, and writing for his family gospel band in south Mississippi and scored his first #1 gospel song at age 17. After moving to Nashville, he earned seven more #1 gospel hits before co-founding ’90s country rock band Western Flyer, which landed multiple Top 40 singles.
As a songwriter and producer, Danny has cuts with artists ranging from Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, and Kenny Chesney to Joe Cocker, Maddie & Tae, and Eddie Vedder, with over 20 million records sold and more than one billion streams. His hits include “International Harvester,” “Truck Yeah,” “I Love This Life,” and 2009’s most-played country song, “She’s Country.”
He produced the #1 gospel album Company’s Comin’ by the late Leslie Jordan, featuring Chris Stapleton, Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder, and more. Danny continues to write and produce for emerging and established artists and is active with Songwriting With Soldiers. He was inducted into the Mississippi Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025.
ABOUT ERIN ENDERLIN
Growing up in Arkansas, Erin Enderlin was drawn to her papaw’s record collection—before she even hit kindergarten, she was hooked on country music. Today, Rolling Stone says her songs are “the stuff of country classics—concise, tear-stained, and all too relatable.” Enderlin has a knack for sharply drawn characters—backsliders, avengers, lovers, and the heartbroken—and she brings them to life across her acclaimed albums Faulkner County, Whiskeytown Crier, and the new project she’s recording with Sunny Sweeney and Harley Husbands.
Her storytelling has earned admiration from icons and institutions alike. Elton John spotlighted her on his Rocket Hour show, calling her “a brand new country artist I absolutely love,” and the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum featured her in its American Currents exhibit as a breakthrough artist. A regular on the Grand Ole Opry, Enderlin has also seen more than 50 of her songs recorded by artists including Lee Ann Womack, Reba, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, and The War And Treaty. She recently stepped into film and TV, co-writing “Blood in the River” and three additional songs for The Gray House, an upcoming Amazon Prime series produced by Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner.
