COME SING! Let's raise our hearts and voices together with uplifting, meaningful songs. Kjersten and Katie will weave original songs, as well as a few from other gifted songwriters in the community, to create a beautiful, nourishing space for all of us to hold ourselves and each other.
We are raising funds to bring incredible songleaders from other parts of the country to come lead at Cascadia Songrise! Your contributions will support songleaders of the Global Majority to come lead us in songs and inspire us with their incredible talent, skill and experience.

Katie Sontag:
Katie Sontag (she/her) writes and teaches nourishing songs that celebrate self love and remind us that all feelings are welcome. At Katie’s song circles, you will laugh, cry, make new friends, and leave feeling better than when you came. Her music has been described as "a big hug." Katie’s songs have traveled all over the country. She is also a singer/songwriter and a seasoned performer living in Eugene OR with her 4 year old.

Kjersten Hallin:
Kjersten Hallin (She/They) Beauty Activist, Earth Lover, Eco-Edutainer, Song Weaver, Wasterument Drum Maker, Grief Tender, Ritualist, Mother and Co-Creatrix of Cascadia Song Rise. Kjersten leads community singing events on Kalapuyan land known as the Willamette Valley and offers gifts of song as ritual communion with the living world, with an alive sense of wonder and deep appreciation for the beauty and complexity of this time and space we inhabit together. Kjersten’s music, including 3 singer-songwriter albums and several singles meant for community singing, can be found on bandcamp and soundcloud.
About Cascadia Songrise:
Held in Tidewater, OR June 25-28!
Cascadia Song Rise is a gathering of people who love to sing! We will nourish ourselves through collective song, harmony, and connection. Cascadia Song Rise is aimed primarily at sharing music with multiple vocal lines, sung acapella (without instruments) or with instruments in supporting rather than central roles. The music is participatory, not performance-oriented.
