Song Exchange - April, Dublin

Song Exchange is a voice-only singing circle for everyone who loves to sing for the fun of it. This isn’t a performance, but a space to share songs, connect, and enjoy the magic of voices coming together.

In the first half, everyone has the opportunity to offer a song - any style or genre - and briefly share the story behind it or why you have chosen it. In the second half, we invite canons, rounds and songs to sing together.

It’s all about sharing and learning in a relaxed, welcoming space. Come along ready to sing, listen with attentiveness and care, and enjoy the music and the company.

We are incredibly lucky to be sharing the space with the epic Marrowbone Books, one of Dublin's community book spots.

Registration is free, with a suggested donation of €10 on the day (cash/Revolut). Please arrive on time, as latecomers cannot be admitted once we have started.

Song Exchange is a roving singing circle, hosted collectively. It was started by Molly Garvey out of a love of the Irish song sharing tradition and the power of making sound together. It builds on the incredible sessions in the Cobblestone, Feakle in Clare and the mighty Walshes in Stoneybatter. It has been shaped by Maureen's Pub in Cork city, its ongoing hosts Leah and Daire, and continues to appear in places all over the country.
