Sonar Sessions is a monthly Sunday evening event, showcasing artists in the genres of world, jazz, soul, acoustic & folk. Each Sonar Session will present a carefully curated lineup of live acts showcasing established artists alongside emerging local talent.(8.45-9.45pm) The Big Easy are an energetic swing band from Leeds, stripping things back for their Sonar Session appearance they will be perform as a trio consisting of vocals, trumpet, guitar and double bass. Their dynamic and virtuosic performances include a varied repertoire of the best swing from throughout the 20th century; from the early days of jazz, classic New Orleans tunes and lively jump-jive.
(7.50-8.30pm) Multi-instrumentalist Leo Brazil draws his inspiration from animals and the natural world which is why his label is called Birds And Beasts Records. His sound mixes acoustic, folk, pop & psychedelia and has shared stages with names such as The Blow Monkeys, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Space and The Blues Band.
(7-7.40pm) Here's The Steeple is the musical handle of Dan Walters, a multi-instrumentalist based in West Yorkshire, UK. Whether alone or with friends, Dan's music combines intricate textures and thoughtful lyrics with a wide range of folk influences, delivered with a uniquely rich and soulful Northern voice to warm you up like a good cup of tea.
Doors at 6.30pm
The venue has a fully licensed bar, cabaret style seating and disabled access toilets.
