Son of a Sailor Fest: Jimmy's Backyard Pop-Up

We're toasting to Mobile's son and patron saint of Gulf Coast music, Jimmy Buffett, with a free pop-up celebration at the Cedar Street Social outdoor stage in downtown Mobile presented by Kona Big Wave and BBD. Think of it like a big backyard party of live music, vendors, arts, bars, and food.
We will have fantastic Gulf Coast bands and musicians toasting to Buffett, from Gulf & Western to reggae rhythms and a Buffett tribute show that you don’t want to miss.
Browse local vendors, and enjoy cold drinks and hot food from the Outsider and the Insider • collective eatery. Find refuge from the sun's rays inside their air conditioned bar and lounge areas, and let them serve you up a cold concoction.
Don't forget to stroll past muralists at work as part of Mobtown Mural Fest. We are proud to be a featured venue for Mobile's first large-scale mural festival put on by the Mobile Arts Council. You will have the opportunity to watch artists create, meet muralists, and explore Mobile through a new artistic lens.
Go down to the grand opening of the Jimmy Buffett Experience permanent exhibit and statue unveiling at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf and then grab your beach chair and come party with us at Jimmy's Backyard!
