July's Son House Blues Night is bringing something special down from the Capital Region.
This month we welcome Tony Berkley, known to his fans as BerkStar, making the trip from Troy, NY to join Son Henry and The Revelators for a night of blues, soul, funk, and groove. Tony is a guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader who has been building a reputation across Upstate New York and beyond as someone who plays all of it: blues, R&B, jazz, rock, Motown, soul. Not dabbling in any of it. Living in all of it.
He has opened for Grammy winner Eric Gales. He is part of the Capital Region Blues Network. And he has something he calls "The Beat That Moves Ya," which, once you hear it, you'll understand completely.
