Assembling on The Leas outside The Grand at 5.45pm, the procession will depart at 6pm, led by a regimental drummer along The Leas to the Leas Bandstand for poetry and letter readings, before heading to the Step Short Remembrance Arch for the Last Post. It will then head through the Sandgate Road pedestrian precinct led by a piper and drummer to the Town Hall, before heading down Church Street to The Parish Church of St Mary & St Eanswythe for music from the Friends of the Royal British Legion Community Choir and reflection, where the lanterns will be assembled to create a tribute.
