The School of Management, Tribhuvan University (SOMTU), is organizing an exhibition as a part of the academic curriculum for final-semester students of the MBA and MBA-FC programs. This student-led initiative offers an experiential platform where six businesses, simulated and analyzed by MBA students, will showcase their core business activities. Additionally, more than 15 social enterprises will exhibit their products, services, and impactful activities, emphasizing the broader role of social entrepreneurship in today’s economy.
Key Highlights of the Event
1. Social Business Representation: Esteemed organizations such as Bhoomithan, Green Army, Hatti Hatti, Sukhawoti, Women’s Creation, Zhambala, and nine other impactful social businesses will participate, showcasing their contributions to social and environmental progress.
2. Panel Discussion: A central feature of the event will be a panel discussion titled “Social Entrepreneurship: Challenges and Prospects.” Esteemed representatives from the government, social enterprise community, and academia will engage in an insightful discussion, addressing challenges, future opportunities, and policy implications for social entrepreneurship in Nepal.
3. Networking and Engagement: The exhibition will also feature various engagement activities, including food stalls and interactive booths. It promises to attract an audience of approximately 532 participants, comprising students, faculty, and special guests, providing an excellent platform for businesses to promote their brand among a large and diverse group of attendees.
