A circus in Belfast?! In 1989, twenty-one year old college dropout Jennnifer Dempsey moves to Belfast with high hopes that the troubles in Northern Ireland will take care of her own. They do, but not in the way she ever imagined. “Something Great” is a true coming of age story about a young American woman who loses her way then finds herself in the Belfast Circus. Written and performed by Salida Circus director Jennifer Dempsey, this 90 minute dramedy is a testament to the power of joy and community and a reminder that no matter what, the show must go on.
