ABOUT THE GAMES

---

Community Radio, run by the game designer himself, Quinn Murphy!
Your town has deep secrets, terrifying monsters, unspeakable evils, a clandestine city council making strange decrees...and a public radio station!
In Community Radio, a group of 3 - 10 people gather to improvise scenes that show what life is like in this town, with accompanying public radio broadcasts. It's a game of dark humor and fast thinking.
If you like Welcome to Nightvale, this is the game for you!

Your GM
Quinn Murphy's (he/him) (Founder of Thoughtcrime Games and leader designer) journey with RPGs started when he "inherited" his brother's copy of Chainmail at the age of 11. He started running games for his friends and hasn't stopped for over thirty years. He's always been writing and designing games, and started doing it professionally in 2009. He's written for a wide range of products and companies, including (but not limited to): Paizo (Pathfinder, Starfinder), WotC (Dragon Magazine), Kobold Press(Lost City, Kobold Quarterly), Magpie Games (Our Last Best Hope), Onyx Path Publishing (Trinity Continuum: Aeon), Simon & Schuster (The Ultimate Micro-RPG Book). He loves TTRPGs of all shapes and sizes and loves the thrill of finding the perfect form-factor to express a setting or idea. He believes that Imagination is for Everyone.

---

Kids on Brooms
Kids on Brooms, created by Hunter's Entertainment, is a rules-light system full of whimsical, spellcasting fun. Armed with your wand, broom, and trusted familiar, you'll play as a group of upperclass students attending a magic school where every day holds the promise of being both wholly unexpected and wonderfully extraordinary.

Your GM
Heather Silva (she/her) is the founder of Worlds 4 All LLC, based in Lawrence, MA, which offers professional TTRPG facilitation with a focus on co-creating safer and more inclusive gaming spaces. A long-time educator, creative writer, and performer, she found her way to TTRPGs a decade ago and never looked back.

---

Brindlewood Bay
There's been a M**der in the cozy seaside town of Brindlewood Bay, and it's up to the M**der Mavens Mystery Book Club to solve it! Play as a group of elderly women as they investigate, gather clues, and crack the case!

Your GM
Cam (they/he) is a game master with several years of experience running indie tabletop games for friends and strangers! He welcomes players who love to learn about/explore new systems and worlds to his table. They love to help players gain confidence in this unique medium that encourages collaborative storytelling and worldbuilding.

---

Stewpot: Tales from a Fantasy Tavern
Your adventuring days are over and now you're hanging up your weapons, selling off your armor, and re-integrating into society. Dungeoneers, what do you call home? Stewpot: Tales from a Fantasy Tavern is a collection of mini-games that tell the story of a cozy inn run by former adventurers.

Your GM
Clinton (he/him) is a GM who enjoys reshaping the fantasy tropes of Dungeons and Dragons into all sorts of story games. This time, the theme is Delicious in Dungeon so bring your appetite and monster-hunting skills! He's a big fan of Critical Role and has run games of Daggerheart and Candela Obscura at PAX East and the LFG section of the Boston D&D and RPG Discord.

---

Moonlight on Roseville Beach
Picture it! 1979, Roseville Beach! Disco music fills the air, Drag performers bring new life into every song, and you are thriving at the queer sanctuary that Roseville provides. Don't worry about that weird creature crawling in the shadows.. it's probably nothing.. probably. [Roseville Beach is a d6 dice pool based system, a game of queer disco and cosmic horror]

Your GM
Eric (he/they) is a forever GM, who turned their passion for telling stories into hositng an actual play podcast called The QueerXP. They're also a game designer and writer.

---

i'm sorry did you say street magic
i'm sorry did you say street magic is a city-building story game. In this game, you'll discover and imagine a city filled with life and vivid detail, packed with a myriad of neighborhoods, landmarks, and residents. We'll build the theme and tone of the game together, but expect exploratory gameplay, open-ended questions, and lots of imagination!

Your GM
Chi (she/her) is a GM with a few years of experience running indie RPGs for friends and convention attendees. She loves encouraging player collaboration and worldbuilding!

---

Dungeons & Dragons 5e
There will be multiple sessions of D&D available throughout the day! All sessions are very beginner-friendly, with pre-made characters available and Danger Wizard's professional Dungeon Masters at the helm.

ABOUT THE DISCUSSION GROUPS

A section of the event space will be set aside for discussion groups of about 15 participants to talk about a given topic. Designated Discussion Guides will have prompts to keep the conversation going, but this is your opportunity to chat with others in the community who are curious about the same gaming topics you are!

Sign up for a free add-on ticket to secure your spot for the discussions you're interested in.

---

Discussion A: RPG Design
From mechanics to worldbuilding to formatting and design software, come chat with professional and amateur designers about the art of making the games we love so much!

Discussion B: DMing for Kids
Whether you're being pushed into this by your neice or trying to find a way to convince your own kid that RPGs are fun, there are definitely tricks of the trade when it comes to running games fo little ones.

Discussion C: Running Inclusive Tables
The TTRPG scene is as diverse, nuanced and multi-faceted as the stories we love to tell, and it's important to make sure that our tables are comfy and welcoming for everyone who wants to play. Join this group to share advice and learn from others about how they're working to foster safer spaces in gaming.

Discussion D: Professional DMing
Kinda wild that playing games can pay (maybe a few of) the bills, but when you look at all the prep work, supplies and experience it takes to create a high-quality experience, it's not all that surprising! Hear from local community folx who are making the business of gaming work for them.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS

Side Quest Books & Games is a fantasy-inspired shop that sells magical books, indie role-playing games and nerdy knick-knacks. They focus on women and underrepresented creators in the fantasy space, they host charity events and book clubs, and they want to hear all about your PC in whichever game you're playing. They're Boston's only woman-owned game shop.

Danger Wizard (aka Allan, he/him) is a full time Dungeon Master, long-time Somerville resident and lifelong fan of Magic, Warhammer, Lord of the Rings and D&D. He has run RPGs for new and old players alike for almost a decade, and loves bringing people from all backgrounds together around a table for an evening of laughs and adventure. He believes in the importance of connection through gaming and community while also taking risks in a safe environment and being silly with your friends. Join in on the shenanigans at https://dangerwizard.com/.
