Nearly all of us know and love someone who lives with chronic illness, or we ourselves do. Chronic illness is reported to affect 129 million Americans; and autoimmune disease is on the rise. When facing symptoms or a diagnosis, our minds are often looking for the solution, this might include doctors, healers, supplements, special diets, alternative medicine; and our habit becomes to analyze, problem solve and figure out. Yet our biology needs to feel like we are being informed by our sensations, instincts and feelings. In this somatics workshop, we will focus on feeling our bodies without searching for a solution. We will learn and practice somatic tools to understand how to ground ourselves, how our bodies work and the importance of our mind, body connection. This will be a relaxing and empowering workshop for all levels, all bodies.
