Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and holistic well-being with our Somatic Sensations Yoga class. Rooted in the principles of somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed yoga and mindful movement, this class offers a unique opportunity to explore the intricate connections between body, mind, and heart centered awareness. Through a series of mindfulness practices, gentle yoga postures, and breathwork, participants will cultivate a heightened awareness of bodily sensations, emotions, and energy flow.In this nurturing and supportive environment, students will learn to listen to their bodies with compassion and curiosity, inviting a deeper understanding of physical, mental, and emotional patterns while working to heal and regulate the nervous system. Each session will focus on exploring somatic sensations as a pathway to release tension, increase capacity to endure stress, build resilience, reduce pain, and promote body sensation awareness and relaxation. Students will also be guided to work with the vagus nerve, the primary regulator of the autonomic nervous system and learn useful resources for calming techniques for everyday life.
