Join us for a zine launch and Interactive Playshop with Vanessa VerLee based on her zine, Somatic Playbook: Tricks for a Less Nervous System. This experience will blend simple nervous system education with short, guided practices you can use in real life — whether you're spiraling at 2am, overwhelmed in a conversation, or just trying to feel a little more like yourself.
This is not a lecture or a traditional workshop. It's a space to gently experiment, notice what shifts, and walk away with tools that are actually usable in your everyday life. No prior experience needed.
Free and open to all. The zine launch will be from 5 to 7:30, with the playshop portion, with every day tricks for more easeful ways to be in your body, going from 6 to 7.

ABOUT THE ZINE:
Somatic Playbook: Tricks for a Less Nervous System is a small, accessible zine written by Vanessa VerLee and illustrated by Catherine Madden. It offers simple, real-life practices to help people shift their nervous system state in everyday moments of stress, overwhelm, or shutdown. It's not therapy or dense theory — it's warm, practical, slightly irreverent, and immediately usable. Think: short relatable scenarios, gentle body-based reframes, and 1–3 step practices that actually fit into real life.
About Vanessa VerLee: Vanessa VerLee is a somatic coach, facilitator, and writer — and the daughter of CWOW founder Lorelei VerLee — from Fort Wayne, and based in San Francisco. Through her practice, Soul Oriented Somatic Coaching, she offers individual coaching, group Playshops, and somatic education rooted in nervous system regulation and embodiment. Her work is warm, practical, and deeply human — focused on small, repeatable shifts rather than big transformations. She is the author of Somatic Playbook: Tricks for a Less Nervous System.
