Awaken your core, release long-held tension in your back and chest, and calm
your Nervous System through a Pilates practice rooted in embodi
About this Event

Somatic Pilates is emerging as one of the most effective antidotes to the high-pressure, always-on environments that many of us live and work in. Rather than forcing or bracing, this approach invites you to develop soft strength that supports spinal health, resilience and emotional balance.

Through slow, mindful movement, spiralling patterns and calming breathwork, Somatic Pilates helps you release long-held tension in the spine and surrounding muscles, allowing your nervous system to down-regulate. It is an ideal practice for anyone wanting to feel strong, mobile and deeply connected to their core without chasing perfectionism or burning out.

In this 75-minute experience, we combine the precision of Pilates with the inner awareness of Somatic practice to explore twists, spirals and waves along the spine, creating fluidity, strength and three-dimensional mobility.

The session begins with Somatic floorwork and breathwork, slow grounding patterns that gently help you unwind chronic tension, awaken deep spinal support and bring your nervous system into a state of safety. Once the body feels centred and ready, we move

into thoughtfully sequenced Pilates exercises that focus on spiralling and rotational movements to strengthen the anterior and posterior core, improve postural alignment and mobilise the entire spine. Each movement is guided by sensation rather than aesthetics, allowing you to work with your spine in the most optimal and sustainable way.

The practice concludes with a restorative integration, giving the system time to recalibrate and absorb the work. This final phase supports long-lasting nervous system regulation and allows the subtle effects of spinal rotation and untwisting to settle throughout the body.

You will leave feeling lighter, taller and more spacious, with a calm mind and a spine that feels strong, supported and alive.

No previous experience needed. Not suitable for pregnant people.
