A Dance, Drum & Storytelling Experience Rooted in Radiance, Rhythm & Feminine Power

Dance + Drum into the light of the summer solstice, a season of radiance, power, abundance, and feminine energy. Solstice Rising is a transformative, two-hour experience designed for absolute beginners, led by Tropicaleiza.

We begin with a joyful, beginner-friendly dance class to live percussion, learning a short routine that reflects the energy of the solstice. Just when you think the rhythm has settled, the space itself begins to shift. What follows is something unexpected, a story spoken and embodied, where movement becomes meaning.

From there, we explore the cultural and historical roots of the rhythm you’ve danced to, learn how to drum it ourselves, and close by dancing and drumming for each other all grounded in shared energy and story.

No experience needed. Just your body, your spirit, and your presence.
