Excited to continue the tradition of swapping on the solstice! Join me for an epic swap on Sunday, December 21 from 11am-2pm at the @chicowomensclub located at 592 E 3rd st.
The holidays are upon us and the pressure to buy, buy, buy is intense. But when money is tight and it’s morally difficult to support big corporations, I love that we can turn to our community and find abundance. In addition to supporting small businesses this season, what if we swapped instead of shopped? Consider gifting or upcycling an item you find at the swap.
As always, this event is free and open to people of all ages, all genders and all body types. During the swap, please keep your items together on a blanket or just a pile and when you’re ready to go, please take all your leftover items with you.
Volunteers from @safespace_chico will also be at the swap to collect useful items as well as monetary donations. Safe Space Winter Shelter is looking for socks, sweat pants, warm outerwear, sleeping bags and tarps. There is limited storage capacity at the shelter, so please check in with a volunteer before leaving your items.
