Solo Jazz classes with Sash

Four Tuesdays of Solo Jazz taught by Sash: 45 minute class in Jazz Improvisation and 60 minute class in Jazz Routine - all beginner friendly
These classes will gently introduce you to dancing Solo Jazz, getting comfortable with finding your rhythm in the music and starting to express it in your dancing. All classes are suitable for beginner dancers and, since this is solo dancing, you don't need a dance partner.
The FIRST CLASS of the evening focusses, over 45 minutes, on Jazz Improvisation, giving you the concepts, technique and tools required to dance freely to Jazz music, responding to rhythm and syncpations, dancing 'classic' Jazz move and also building all of this into your general Swing dancing.
The SECOND CLASS is about Jazz routines: every week, Sash will teach a different routine, some 'classics' you've seen before but also one or two of Sash's own choreographies.
In-between the classes, we've got 15 minutes practice time for you to recap past material and ask Sash any questions that came up for you after the class.
You can buy tickets EITHER AT THE DOOR (per evening £14/£12* for both classes - £6/£5* for Improv only - £8/£7* for Routine only) or you can buy TICKET IN ADVANCE for 3 or all 4 Tuesday evenings at a DISCOUNTED RATE.
*You're entitled to buy classes at the CONCESSION RATE if you're on low income or have an Edinbop 2026 membership. You can buy an annual membership here on DanceCloud.
