About this Event

SOLO FEST 2026 brings together seventeen original one-act solo performances across four themed nights.
Seventeen actors have come together to create this event, each taking full creative responsibility for writing, directing, and performing their own unique show.

Each night offers a distinct theme and atmosphere, inviting audiences into a wide range of theatrical worlds and personal voices.

Performed at: Catalyst's Theater in the historical Funkhaus building

Circle (12, 17 & 24 March)

Cestoda by Karoline Steiner :

Something awakens inside of Karlotta on her 20th birthday.

The Voice by Abibou Ndiaye :

rapped in a world of alienation, wanting to leave but unable to move.A voice in your head telling you that maybe there's still hope.

The Act of Loving by Luka Kalandadze :

A couple confronts faith, mental illness, and love as devotion slowly turns into violence neither of them can escape.

This Side of Man by Kgopotso Sedibe :

The evolution of mankind. Hunting, fire, standing straight, to modern man and the struggle of finding an identity. Questioning what route humanity is taking next and how much it costs.



Descent (13, 21 & 28 March)

Boxing Things by Filip Wencel :

A night of boxing and redemption. Based on your favorite boxing movies. We follow Max, an up and coming champion on his journey to glory and self realization.

A Cuppa Ceylon Tea by Nayanathara Jayasinghe :

In 1818 Ceylon under British rule, as rebellion brews in the defiant region of Wellassa, Lalitha, a young woman encounters a stranger who sparks a light in her world that may burn far beyond their time.

Forget-Me-Not by Demy Ntogka :

A young woman takes the bus from her hometown, where she is faced by figures from her past and haunted by memories she has tried to forget. And to her surprise, it’s working.

River of Agony by Viktoria Brigitta Serg :

An internationally acclaimed director lives for art.

Deal With the Devil by Kareem Nassar :

A man makes a deal with the devil, and he is promised to get everything he wants. The price: the life of a newborn baby. Will he go through with the deal, or not?

DEDA by Martha Tordia :

Are women born with self-sacrificial patterns, or are these behaviors inherited through the cycles?

Will You Spend the Rest of Your Life With Me? by Rosalie Blau :

Guided by the spirits, Ivy invites you to be part of her wedding ceremony. Let yourself be taken in by her charisma and be prepared to be a part of a celebration full of love, unity and divine purpose. Will you make the right choice?

Being by Anja Lukic :

A system does not need violence to function - only participation. How much of ourselves do we surrender in order to belong - and at what point does obedience become instinct?

Atlantis: The Void by Alex Oliver :

An immortal vampire, obsessed with property ownership, hides in a stolen South Beach apartment while hurricanes tear through the city and the ocean rises outside his window.

Real-Talk La Mer by Konrad Damer:

Meet Gigi La Mer as the iconic host of Real-talk La Mer and experience her fabulous take on the world. She will serve face, opinion, and of course, realness.

IRIS by Emilia Puustinen:

An acclaimed theatre director falls in love with the lead actress of her show, turning rehearsals into a battle between yearning and control. Is desire stronger than her morals?

Number 48 by Naseef Ganadry :

In the eyes of his children he is a Father.
In the eyes of his wife he is a Husband.
In the eyes of art he is a Poet.
In the eyes of the world he is a Number.

Apeshit by Harvey Thorn :

Two brothers, a mother, a lover and an ape. How does one really deal with their grief?
