SOLO Baila! – Just Dance!A return to the roots, rhythm & the soul within.
Created and performed by acclaimed flamenco dancer Lauren Majarrés, “Solo Baila!” is a raw and intimate flamenco performance about reclaiming confidence, silencing self-doubt, and rediscovering the pure love of dance. Through rhythm, emotion, and tradition, the show explores the experience of losing your way—and the fierce beauty of finding it again.
Born from Lauren’s personal and artistic journey, “Solo Baila!” is both a reconnection and a rebellion – a tribute to childhood freedom when dance was instinctive, fearless, and full of joy. It also honours flamenco’s deep ancestral ties and to the voices of family—like the quiet wisdom of an Abuela whispering, “solo baila.” Just dance. That’s all.
Lauren is joined on stage by some of Australia’s exceptional musicians, including renowned guitarist Kieren Ray, Aria nominee Byron Mark on percussion & award-winning vocalist Zoe Vélez.
Special Guest Artist Roshanne de Silva Wijeyeratne, a powerhouse of flamenco in Australia, brings her award-winning artistry & presence to the stage.
This is flamenco stripped to its essence: vulnerable, defiant, and full of heart.
