Solidarity, struggle and socialism. How can the strikes win?
About this Event

More workers are going on strike than at any time for the last 30 years. They are starting to show their collective power.

Striking rail and post workers have been joined by health and school workers, civil servants, university workers, dockers, bus drivers and many others.

But where’s Keir Starmer’s Labour Party? The Labour leadership won’t back the strikes or pay rises that keep pace with inflation. Labour offers no solution to the cost of living crisis.

We need much bolder action, with more strikes, more often and for longer including indefinite all out strikes. The timidity often shown by the trade union leaderships needs to be challenged and overcome if we are to see real victories.

Strikes show the potential of working-class people to transform the world. We need more such revolt to take on the endless crises of capitalism that threaten our very existence – from war and pandemics to climate catastrophe.

And we need a revolutionary socialist organisation that bases itself on working class struggle, not parliament, as the way to win the socialist transformation of society.

Come and join the discussion.
