About this Event
St George's Community Centre Main Hall, Friday 8th November at 18.45
Screening of the full National Theatre Production starring Michael Sheen, written by Rufus Norris, portaying the struggle of Aneurin Bevan to found the NHS and give Britain its dignity for Labour party Members and Friends.
Even though the production is streaming free on YouTube, the real impact will come from watching the play with your friends and comrades from the Labour Party and discussing our reactions afterwards.
Refreshments will be available and donations to Kemp Town Branch Labour Party are most welcome.
And we'll be following up on Saturday 9th November with a political education seminar comparing Nye's vision with Wes Streeting's modernisation plans.
You can watch the trailer below.
"This play is pure gold. Such a meaningful story, brought on stage by fantastic actors and by Michael Sheen, an incredible artist and an incredible person."
"Just watched this at my local cinema. This play is amazing - thank you to everyone who brought it to a wider audience - it should be broadcast far and wide."
Use of strong language and strobe lighting.
