Solidarity Dinner

After a long break, Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Ireland and Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland are back organising Solidarity Dinners! On Saturday 13 August 2022, in Dublin, we'll come together around food, music, conversation (and maybe even some dancing), to build community and break down the isolation and separation built into the Direct Provision system.

The dinner is a potluck, if you can bring a dish, please let us know what it is by , so we can make sure we have enough for everyone!

The event is child-friendly with a dedicated children's area with games, crafts, etc., and it is an alcohol-free event. There will also be live music performed by artists living in direct provision, and others to be confirmed! As well as community connection, we will hear from inspiring speakers campaigning and building towards the end of the unjust treatment of those who come to Ireland for protection and refuge. We all need and deserve to have access to spaces of joy, fun, care and community.

We have a limit on numbers in the venue so please register to attend! If you are living in direct provision,, so we can organise transport if necessary.
