Solid Waste Facilities Tour

Check out the Solid Waste Transfer Station, Household Hazardous Waste, and Yard Waste Compost Site to learn where everything goes after you throw it "away."

Ages 5 and up; visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitors must wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather. Tour involves walking moderate distances outdoors. Please contact 218-740-4786 or [email protected] for questions or accessibility accommodations. Participants will be provided with personal protective equipment (hard hats & safety glasses).

Tour meets at Resource Renew's Administrative Building, 2626 Courtland Street. Please note that navigation apps may direct you to a different building that shares the same street address (the Admin Building is the first one you see after crossing the I-35 viaduct on 27th Ave. W; look for the parking lot with flag poles).

Vehicle parking and protected bike parking available on site. Check Duluth Transit Authority for up-to-date public bus routes and walking distances.
