SOLEDAD BROTHERS (USA)
Groupe mythique de TOLEDO (Ohio) proche banlieue de Detroit sont de retour en Europe pour répandre leur évangile révolutionnaire unique de la Rust Belt R&B. Ce sera la première fois qu’ils reviendront sur le sol européen ensemble en tant que groupe depuis 20 ans.
Les Soledad Brothers ont longtemps été associés au renouveau du garage rock à Détroit au début des années 2000, et ont ouvert la voie à des groupes comme The White Stripes, The Detroit Cobras, The Dirtbombs, et d’autres, issus des mêmes racines enflammées, de la même culture locale, mais suivant leur propre chemin. Influencés par John Lee Hooker, The Gun Club, Hound Dog Taylor, ou Sister Rosetta Thorpe ainsi que des influences plus éloignées comme The Fall et des pionniers du free jazz comme Albert Ayler ; sur le plan sonore, tout cela se présente avec un son bien à eux, une perspicacité politique et des contours non explorés par leur contemporains. L’énergie de leurs lives encensés n’a pas diminué d’un iota dans les années qui ont suivi, la colère brûle plus fort que jamais et la scène se réchauffe davantage.

Formed in 2009 in San José, Costa Rica, LAS ROBERTAS have established themselves as one of the most consistent and distinctive acts in the Latin American independent scene, crafting a sound that moves fluidly between psychedelia, shoegaze and alternative rock.
Comprised of Mercedes Oller, Fabrizio Durán, Russell Davis, Daniela García, Fabián Saavedra and Felipe Oller, the band has developed a sonic identity shaped by influences ranging from 60s psychedelia and the legacy of bands like The Velvet Underground to the textures and emotional depth of 90s shoegaze and indie rock. References such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Lush, The Charlatans, Primal Scream, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Chapterhouse and Slowdive resonate throughout their work, balancing noise and melody, introspection and expansion.
Since their inception, LAS ROBERTAS have maintained a steady output both in the studio and on stage, releasing four LPs and two EPs across the United States, Mexico and Spain. Their international trajectory has led them to tour extensively throughout the Americas and Europe, as well as perform at major festivals including NRMAL (Mexico), Levitation (Austin, TX), Coachella (CA), Rock al Parque (Colombia) and Primavera Sound (Barcelona).
In 2026, they return with All We Need Is Now, their latest album released via Spinda Records (Spain) and Kanine Records (USA). The nine-track record revolves around the idea of living in the present as a path toward healing and personal growth, exploring themes such as overcoming fear, letting go of the past and striving toward a more conscious version of oneself.
Written and produced by the band, the album was recorded in San José, Costa Rica by Adrián Poveda, and mixed and mastered by Estanislao López in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It further refines their sound, combining layered guitars, melodic structures and an increasingly direct and emotionally resonant approach.
The album’s visual identity, created by Costa Rican mixed-media artist Juliana Quesada, centers around the Morpho butterfly — a national symbol — representing transformation, ephemerality and a deep connection to the present moment.
With this new release, LAS ROBERTAS enter a new artistic phase, which will be brought to the stage through a European and Latin American tour throughout 2026.
