Slow down, breathe deeply, and treat yourself to a weekend shaped by nature, creativity, and connection at our Women’s Plein Air Watercolor Retreat. This three-night experience is based at The Benninghofen House, a historic Queen Anne Victorian boutique hotel in Hamilton, Ohio, with two full days spent painting outdoors at Rocky Hollow—a private wooded homestead where fresh air, forest paths, a flowing creek, and a hidden waterfall invite you to slow down and nourish your soul.
Days unfold outdoors as you paint en plein air under the guidance of professional artist Elizabeth Rohrbaugh, learning to simplify the landscape, capture light and atmosphere, and respond intuitively to the natural world around you. With a small group, gentle instruction, and extended time to paint on location, you’ll feel supported as your creativity deepens alongside your connection to nature.
Evenings return you to the comfort of The Benninghofen House for nourishing meals, quiet reflection, and easy conversation. Optional gentle morning yoga, free time for rest or exploration, and the rhythm of unhurried days create space to restore your energy and reconnect with yourself.
