Celebrate summer solstice with an stunning evening walk and a cacao cermony around the fire pit at the Surrey Hills Yurts Join us on this gorgeous new 7km/ 4.5miles route across some rolling fields and some very idyllic view spots, perfect for an evening stroll.
Starting near Westcott/Dorking, we’ll pass some sun-trapped valleys and some lovely walking trails passing horse fields, country farms before arriving at the Surrey Hills Yurts.
In this eco-friendly luxury yurts holiday site and working farm, we are invited to gather around the fire pit to celebrate summer solstice.
You’ll be enjoying the views over the sleepy farm sitting on logs and hay bails. Danielle from Club Meditation will prepare some wholesome cacao (don’t forget your mug) for all of us to salute the beginning of the summer.
We will be introduced to the finest Ceremonial Grade Criollo Cacao which has been grown, harvested and dried by Ashaninka families. Directly sourced from ancient Cacao gardens of Peru.
Drinking Cacao in its purest form allows a deeper connection to ourselves, our own intuition, and inner guidance.
The heart chakra opens to allow love to flow, helps you understand yourself, connects you with your creativity and enhances focus and mental agility, amongst others.
Afterwards we’ll head back as the sun is setting passing a quiet fishing lake and hopefully another glimse of the late sun over the copse.

Parking/Meet:The Nower and Milton Heath Car Park, Westcott Road (off the A25) Dorking RH4 3JU (Keep driving passed the first car park, then park at second car park on left)
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate walk. Social paced walk with foot and bridle paths. The end of the walk may be around sunset, with less visibility.
Duration: 3h; 2h walking, plus 45min at the Surrey Hills Yurts, 7km route, 5km to the Yurt and 2km back afterwards.
Facilities: Toilet facilities available at the Surrey Hills Yurts , Dogs To be confirmed
What’s included:
– Guided walk & cacao ceremony
– Fully insured and first aid qualified
What to Bring:
– Suitable footwear/waterproofs. Light/windproof layers of clothes. Sunscreen/Sunhat/sunglasses
– Extra layer for warmth during the cacao cermony
– Water & a reusable cup for your cacao (Back on Track encourages not to use single-use Plastic, read why here)
– Head torches.
