Fight Night Records presents a one-night-only performance of Marty Robbins’ Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs at the Brunswick Ballroom on Friday, June 19.
A cornerstone of American songwriting, this infamous Marty Robbins album is widely regarded as one of the great early concept records - a vivid cycle of outlaws, lawmen and frontier justice. From the drama of “El Paso” to the steely tension of “Big Iron,” it unfolds like a Western film set to music.
Leading the posse is Henry Wagons, whose commanding, narrative-driven vocals bring authority and grit to these frontier tales. Emily Lubitz provides contrast and nuance, her unmistakable voice adding warmth and intimacy to the stark landscapes.
