Learn to Curl is a one hour instructional session where you will be taught the basics of curling along with the opportunity to play two ends of curling.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The temperature out on the ice is about 40 degrees; please keep that in mind when you are deciding what to wear. We suggest you wear warm, comfortable clothing--hats and/or gloves are certainly appropriate. We also suggest that you layer your clothing, as you may find you “warm up” when you are sweeping, but get chilled when standing listening to instruction. Whatever you choose, remember that you will need to be able to bend and get into a low squatting position.
DO I NEED SPECIAL SHOES?
You should bring a pair of sneakers--or similar type of flat-soled shoe--to wear out on the ice, it is preferred that you do not wear these shoes in from the parking lot to avoid dirt being brought onto the ice. Once inside the club, you will be able to change into your sneakers or shoes and fitted for grippers that you will wear over your sneakers on the ice. The grippers fit best over flat-soled sneakers or shoes.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
You are required to complete an electronic release for all participants in any Nutmeg event. The link will be provided in your email confirmation.

By attending any Nutmeg event, you agree that you will not enter the Nutmeg Curling Club if you feel unwell. Guests who exhibit any of the following symptoms should not curl: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting. There are no refunds or exchanges for any reason (cancellations, no shows, weather, etc) unless the event is cancelled by Nutmeg.
The club is located at 123 Glenwood Avenue in Bridgeport, CT next door to Wonderland of Ice. We look forward to seeing you at the Club!
