Join us on Sunday, March 8th from 1-3pm to learn the basics to rope bondage, known as Shibari! This beginner class will teach you the fundamental building blocks to get started on your rope journey. We will be exploring techniques to use in decorative applications, somatic and healing ways (to connect with yourself and others), and bedroom rope. Dive into the single column tie, reverse tension, and freestyle harnesses. Additionally, you will learn the safety necessary to begin your practice with rope, as well as the confidence and creativity to continue refining your skills.
Whether you are a complete newbie or looking to refresh your skills, this class is suitable for everyone!
Signing up with a partner is not required. Individuals may practice on themselves. Athletic type clothing is recommended (nothing too baggy), as is bringing a yoga mat or pad to sit on. Rope and safety shears will be provided.
